Beezumph 19 Prize Winners on Gallery page

A new gallery of the Beezumph 19 prize winners is now on the Gallery page, the thumbnail photos have cut the heads off unfortunately but when you click on the gallery the winners are there in the full! The missing names will be added as and when someone tells me who they are.

There is now a new “Features” page on this website, occasionally there are articles that ideally would be printed in Triple Echo but don’t make it due to space restrictions, they will appear on the Features page from now on.

Hurricane Meeting

The Hurricane meeting at London Motorcycle Museum went very well, 12 Hurricanes in total turned up and many other club members also in attendance. The breakfast had been re-named for the occasion, TR3OC Breakfast, it had 3 sausages arranged as a raygun, a nice touch from Bills wife Phillipa.

Total attendance was high with 3 rideouts from the Ace Cafe throughout the day, the lads liked the venue and requested it be there again next year.

Classic Motor Show – NEC

The club have a stand at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC on the 12th/13th/14th of November, if any club member would like to have their triple on the stand, please contact John Young (details in the column on the right). All types of bike are welcome, standard, modified and racing. The stand covers a large area and can accommodate around 12 bikes, so if you fancy showing your bike have a go.

Triples Re-Open Donington

Donington re-opened on Friday 13^th of August 2010 to the sound of Triples, the first race of the weekend was the Boyer Bransden 1300 Group 2 Twins and Multi’s which produced a front row of 4 Triples, Ricky McMillan No. 62, Cormac Conroy No. 71, Chris Chapman No. 38 and Pat Welch No. 75. The weekend was a fantastic success for the CRMC and all involved had a great time.

Thanks go out to the new leaseholders, Adroit Group for their sterling efforts in getting the track ready for racing. So Donington is well and truly open again for racing and track days. 2011 should see the CRMC returning to the circuit and running their Donington Classic Revival Meeting and you never know but there could be a grid full of Triples turning out for a special anniversary race.

Beezumph 19

A much more detailed report will appear later, but as many of you may know B19 was hit by 107mph winds on Thursday night and was very nearly wiped out. However, the decision was taken to carry on and what a weekend we had. Everyone joined in the efforts to clean up and have a good time in spite of the previous night.

This is a new feature for the website, when there is some “triple” news in one of the classic bike mags it will be listed as a posting under the title “In the press”. Anyone is welcome to contribute information, please email webmaster@tr3oc.co.uk via the link on the right.

The September issue of Classic Bike features two pages on Beezumph 19, where a number of members were interviewed and had photos taken with their bikes. There is also a page on John Cooper and his famous exploits in 1971, more details will follow.
